Dozens of animals killed in Wildomar mobile home fire

WILDOMAR, Calif. (KABC) -- Flames engulfed a woman's mobile home in Wildomar early Saturday, killing dozens of her pets, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

The blaze broke out at the home in the 24000 block of Wheatfield Circle at about 1:35 a.m. It took 20 firefighters over 30 minutes to knock down the fire.

The woman escaped the fire with one cat in her arms, but several other dogs and cats were killed in the blaze. She was not hurt.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
