2 girls hurt after rapper Fetty Wap jumps off stage during concert

WANTAGH, New York -- Two girls were injured on Sunday at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival in New York after rapper Fetty Wap jumped off stage and into the crowd at the Jones Beach Theater.

The young concertgoers apparently became trapped under a fence when members of the crowd rushed the stage.

The girls were not seriously hurt.

Wap returned to the stage minutes later and apologized before continuing with the performance.

Representatives for Wap, whose real name is Freddy Maxwell, did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

He was one of dozens of artists performing at the event. Others included Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
