Suspect killed in officer-involved shooting in Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- An Ontario police officer killed a suspect who was suspected of confronting him with a metal pipe during a domestic violence call Saturday afternoon.

Authorities received a call around 3:50 p.m. regarding reports of domestic violence. When the officer arrived at the scene, authorities said the suspect charged at him with the pipe.

The officer fired his gun and the suspect sustained fatal injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
