Police: Apparent family dispute in Reseda leaves woman dead

RESEDA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An apparent family dispute ended with a woman dead in Reseda on Saturday, police said.

A call came in at about 10:50 a.m. regarding an assault with a deadly weapon in the 18000 block of Victory Boulevard. Officers learned a woman in her 50s had been hit in the head with an unknown object, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Division.

The victim was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. Her name has not been released.

Detectives said two suspects were being questioned. They were only identified as a relative of the victim, and the baby's father of that same relative.

The investigation was ongoing.
