Man killed, woman seriously injured in Norwalk shooting

NORWALK, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a shooting in Norwalk Wednesday night, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Two suspects in a white car pulled up to the two victims as they walked southbound in the 15100 block of Grayland Avenue at about 10:30 p.m.

Two men exited the vehicle, and one of them opened fire with 9mm handgun, Sgt. Joaquin Rincon said. The suspects then got back in the vehicle and fled the scene.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, and the woman was listed in serious condition and undergoing surgery Thursday.
