ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is underway for a killer after police say a man was stabbed to death in Anaheim early Thursday morning.

The attack happened around 2 a.m. behind a restaurant in the 900 block of Euclid Street.

The victim, who was not identified, was stabbed in the stomach and upper torso, Anaheim police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness called 911 claiming to have seen the attacker. However, when officers arrived, they could not find the witness.

The investigation is ongoing.
