Local Pacoima garden helps at-risk youth prepare healthy food

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One local family center and a restaurateur have built a successful program teaching at-risk youth in Pacoima how to cook healthy meals.

The young adults in the El Nido Family Center cooking program are proud of their hard work and love seeing others in the community enjoy the food they cook.

Students in the program say they are excited to teach their family members how to prepare healthy meals on a budget.
