HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two unattended packages left at the Hollywood and Highland Metro Red Line Station resulted in a bomb squad investigation Tuesday afternoon.

At 2:24 p.m., two unattended bags were found at the station. Los Angeles County sheriff's officials closed the station to investigate the bags. Southbound trains were turned back toward Universal Studios and northbound trains were turned back to Hollywood and Vine.

Police also shut down both directions of traffic on Hollywood Boulevard and evacuated portions of the shopping center and sidewalk.

Around 5 p.m., both bags were cleared and were found to be filled with clothes.
