Burglars try to destroy West Covina security system, but it still captures their faces
Bob Wang came home after a quick grocery store trip to find his belongings stolen and security cameras destroyed.

WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- A West Covina man returned home after a quick trip to the grocery store to find his home ransacked and his security cameras destroyed.

Bob Wang said two burglars put his security cameras under running water while still plugged in to ensure they would short circuit.

Wang also discovered that his modem, scanner and computer were also waterlogged in an attempt to destroy his home security system.

The burglars went to extreme measures to make sure that Wang's home security cameras would not capture the break-in, but they forgot one camera in the bedroom, which captured their images.

Wang said the suspects knew exactly where to look and managed to pry open his safe.

The thieves mad off with cash, heirlooms, and other valuables, according to Wang.

While Wang wasn't sure he'd ever see his family heirlooms again, he hoped somebody would recognize the two suspects and call the West Covina Police Department at (626) 939-8500.
