Car slams into Riverside apartment building; 3 hurt

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- Three people were hospitalized after driving down an embankment, knocking over a light pole and slamming into an apartment building in Riverside Saturday night.

The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. in the 4500 block of Palm Avenue.

All three patients in the Mercedes-Benz were transported with minor to moderate injuries. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to Riverside police.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
