Carson stabbing leaves man dead, 2 wounded
One man has died and two men were wounded in a stabbing attack by a group of six men in Carson on Wednesday night.

CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- One man has died and two men were wounded in a stabbing attack by a group of six men in Carson on Wednesday night.

The incident happened as the victims were walking along 225th and Main streets near Carson High School just before 9:30 p.m. Authorities say an SUV stopped near the victims, and then six suspects got out and assaulted the victims.

Two victims were stabbed and a third victim was hit with a blunt object. They were rushed to an area hospital, where one man died. His name has not been released.

The second stabbing victim was listed in fair condition, and the third victim was treated for a head injury and was also in fair condition.

The suspects' vehicle, described as champagne-colored and possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban, was last seen fleeing northbound on Main Street.

A motive for the attack has not been determined, and it was unclear if the incident was gang related.
