Culver City man allegedly raped 15-year-old girl with autism

CULVER CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- A Culver City man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old girl with autism who vanished while walking in her Mar Vista neighborhood about three weeks ago.

Samuel Robert Duran Jr., 33, was booked on multiple counts of rape and is being held on $8 million bail, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a press release.

The teen was found early Monday and was reunited with her mother shortly after. She disappeared around 8 p.m. on March 24 from her home in the 11200 block of Westminster Avenue following an argument.

Detectives are working to determine how Duran and the victim met.
