NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES -- Actress Demi Moore's storage unit in North Hollywood has been burglarized, according to Los Angeles police.

An assistant to the actress went by the unit on Monday and realized there was property missing.

A sergeant with the LAPD's North Hollywood division said it appeared the burglar either had a key or was able to force open the lock.

It remains unknown exactly when the theft occurred, but investigators said the last time someone checked the unit was six months ago.

While the items stolen are still being tallied, police say they're worth a substantial amount.
