CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (KABC) -- A drive-by shooting followed by a single-car crash shut down the westbound lanes and ramps of State Route 60 near the City of Industry and Hacienda Heights border.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said three men were shot and wounded inside a Honda Civic while they were getting on SR-60 from Azusa Avenue at about 11:55 p.m. on Friday.

Detectives learned that four men had left a restaurant in the 1600 block of South Azusa Avenue in the Honda when a white Range Rover pulled alongside their vehicle.

A suspect inside the Range Rover began shooting at the Honda, hitting the driver and two backseat passengers, according to deputies.

Officials said the Range Rover drove off heading westbound on SR-60 as the victim's car crashed.

All three shooting victims were rushed to the hospital. The two backseat passengers, both 24, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The 23-year-old driver was listed in critical condition.

The on and offramps at Azusa Avenue along with all westbound lanes on the freeway were shut down for nearly seven hours.

LASD homicide detectives were investigating the incident and said a motive for the shooting hasn't been undetermined.

Anyone with more information about the shooting was asked to call the LASD's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call (800) 222-8477.
