Firefighters battle 60-acre blaze in Gorman

GORMAN, Calif. (KABC) -- Firefighters battled a 60-acre blaze in Gorman near the 5 Freeway on Tuesday.

Crews with Los Angeles County, Los Angeles and Kern County fire departments responded to the fire at about 1:30 p.m.

Helicopters assisted from the air as firefighters battled the wildfire from the ground.

The National Weather Service warned of an elevated fire danger due to the combination of gusty onshore winds coupled with warm and dry conditions.
