CHINO, Calif. (KABC) -- A former Chino skate rink instructor is accused of texting naked photos of himself to underage girls and requesting some in return.

One woman said Matthew Blanchard, 20, was an instructor at Skate Express in the city. She said she found out what Blanchard was allegedly doing when she looked at her daughter's phone.

"We do check their phones quite often. Unfortunately, we had maybe laid off a little bit for a little bit longer than we normally do," she said.

The woman's husband said when they found a naked picture of Blanchard and a request to meet up with their daughter, they went to police.

Since then, they said they know of at least five girls involved. The manager at the skate rink did not want to comment, but said the suspect resigned and that nothing happened on the property.

The victim's mother had a message for other parents.

"Be on top of your kids with their social media. It's a scary thing and too many people have access to your children," she said.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said Blanchard met many of his suspected victims at the skate rink. He has since bailed out of jail.

Authorities believes there may be additional victims. Those with more information may call the sheriff's department's Chino Hills station at (909) 364-2000.
