LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 45-year-old man wanted for sexual crimes against a minor was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport, officials said Saturday.

Kenneth Dustin Grant faces up to 23 felony counts, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, child molestation and sexual exploitation of children.

An arrest warrant was issued when Grant failed to show up to court in 2010. He cut off his electronic ankle monitor and fled the state.

Based on tips, the United States Marshalls discovered Grant had escaped to Mexico and began working with Mexican authorities to find him.

Grant was taken into custody in Guadalajara, Mexico on Thursday. He was later deported back to the U.S., where he was arrested upon arrival at LAX.

On Friday, Grant was booked for a fugitive felony warrant. He is awaiting extradition to Georgia to face charges.
