FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- A goat whose head was twisted up in a chain-link fence was safety reunited with his family in Fontana thanks to the quick work of some animal control officers.
Fontana police say a male adult goat had gotten his neck stuck in a chain-link fence near his home Thursday morning. When Animal Rescue officers arrived, they noticed a momma and baby goat pacing frantically on the other side of the fence, stressing over the male goat's predicament.
An officer was able to cut the chain link fence and free the goat unharmed and reunite him with his family.
"This is why I love my job," Animal Services supervisor Jamie Simmons told the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. "One minute, rescuing stray dogs and next rescuing goats...and cute baby goats."
