Fire officials used a crane to rescue a horse that fell 12 feet down a well at an Agua Dulce ranch.

AGUA DULCE, Calif. (KABC) -- A horse that fell 12 feet down a well at an Agua Dulce ranch was rescued safely by fire officials Saturday morning.

Just after 11 a.m., the horse was reported to have somehow slipped into the hole on the Sweetwater Movieland Ranch.

A Los Angeles County fire task came to the rescue, using a crane to slowly pull the horse up and out to safety. Officials say the horse was not injured in the fall.

The 23-acre Sweetwater Movieland Ranch, off the 14 (Antelope Valley) Freeway, is used for film shoots, equestrian events and training.
