People from across the country are responding in a major way to help a 5-year-old girl from Sonoma County who is battling brain cancer.

Kapri Geernaert is getting ready to undergo five rounds of radiation therapy this week at St. Jude's Children's Hospital. People who have never met Kapri are now taking part in an ice bucket challenge to help her family pay for mounting medical bills.

All you have to do is have someone pour a bucket of ice water over your head, take a video and challenge someone else to do it. The goal is to raise half a million dollars, so far people have donated more than $124,000.
