LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles Department of Transportation officer was struck by a car near downtown Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon.

The female officer was hit at Grand and Cesar Chavez avenues at about 4 p.m. while directing traffic.

Los Angeles firefighters treated the officer for minor injuries.

The driver was cooperating with police. No foul play was suspected.
