LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A Long Beach man accused of breaking into a Harbor City home and sexually assaulting an 88-year-old woman was charged on Wednesday with multiple felonies.

Emmanuel Reales allegedly broke into the home in the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Western Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Saturday and attacked the woman, who eventually was able to break free and run to a neighbor's home for help.

The 40-year-old was arrested two days later. Police say Reales used to live in the victim's neighborhood.

Reales was charged with three felony counts: forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and first-degree residential burglary, person present in case. The complaint also states that Reales was previously convicted and served prison terms for assault with a deadly weapon in 2001 and receiving stolen property in 2007.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges. His next court appearance was scheduled for June 17.

Reales is being held on $2.7 million. If convicted, he faces up to 112 years to life in prison.
