Man wanted in girlfriend's murder arrested after leading police on chase

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- A police chase from San Diego ended in Riverside Monday with the arrest of a man suspected of killing his girlfriend.

Authorities arrested 25-year old Jared Bischoff following the chase at about 5 a.m. Riverside police said he was wanted for fatally stabbing his girlfriend Sunday and then felony evading on Monday.

At about 5 p.m. Sunday, officers got a domestic disturbance call and at the same time were flagged down near Calmhill Drive and California Avenue in Riverside. Authorities said that is when they found an unconscious woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim later died at the hospital. Her identity was not yet released.
