Man fatally shot in driveway of his Reseda home, police say

RESEDA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in the driveway of his Reseda home, authorities said.

The man's family identified him as Derrick McGee, who was aspiring to career in hip hop.

Few details were immediately available about the incident, which prompted a response from police shortly after 12:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of Etiwanda Avenue, the LAPD said.

The victim was deceased when firefighters arrived at the scene, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Division.

No description of the shooter or shooters was given.
