CORONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was found shot to death, slumped behind the steering wheel of his car in an unincorporated part of Corona.

The body was found around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Ridgeview Terrace and Via Santiago, Riverside sheriff's official said.

Investigators said deputies responded to a "shots fired" call at that location and discovered the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives are hoping eyewitnesses will help lead them to a possible suspect.
