SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- The body of a man was found in a lake at Centennial Regional Park in Santa Ana Wednesday morning, police said.

Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says a maintenance worker made the discovery at about 9:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of W. Edinger Avenue. There were no obvious signs of violence.

The man was identified as Modesto Tapia Clara, 31, of Huntington Beach.

Homicide detectives and coroner's officials are investigating, but Clara's cause of death appears to be drowning.
