Man's body found in Signal Hill; homicide detectives investigating

SIGNAL HILL, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Signal Hill.

The body was discovered in a vacant lot around 7 a.m. Monday on the 2700 block of California Avenue, according to the sheriff's department. The victim, an unidentified black man between 45 and 50 years old, has no next of kin, according to authorities.
