Mother and son gunned down in Carson
A mother and son were gunned down in a deadly shooting in Carson on Saturday.

CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- A mother and son were gunned down in a deadly shooting in Carson on Saturday.

The shooting happened just before midnight in the 19500 block of Tillman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

One victim was found on the ground, and the other was sitting in a car. A third person, who was also in the car, was not hurt.

Family members identified the victims as 27-year-old Jordan Love, and his mother, 64-year-old Michelle Kelly Love.

According to family, Michelle Kelly Love was driving the car and had just dropped Jordan Love off at his father's house when the shooting occurred.

Jordan Love's grandmother was in the front passenger seat of the car, the family stated. She was not injured in the shooting.

Witnesses said the alleged murder was a possible drive-by shooting. A neighbor turned over surveillance video that captured the homicide to the sheriff's department, according to family.

Sheriff's officials said no arrests have been made, and there was no word on a motive.
