Mother arrested in newborn baby's death in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KABC) -- A mother has been arrested after her newborn baby was found dead in Victorville on Sunday, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said Teresa Reed was identified as the mother who gave birth to the baby who was found dead in a parking lot located at 7th Street and Green Tree Boulevard at about 11:55 a.m.

Reed, 38, has been charged with murder in the baby's death.

Officials said an autopsy will be performed to determine the baby's cause of death.
