LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three-time Grammy Award winning musician Steve Vai is asking for the public's help to get back a prized possession - his one-of-a-kind guitar he calls, "Bo."

Vai says someone swiped it on Saturday from the loading area outside The Wiltern in Koreatown, where Vai was playing a benefit concert for a Pasadena-based guitarist with cancer.

"Bo" is Vai's custom Mirror Ibanez Jem. The instrument's distinctive features include blue LED dots and a red laser built into the neck.

Vai says anyone with information should leave a message on his Facebook page or call police
