Suspicious package removed from Chatsworth parking lot; no explosives found

CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A bomb squad removed what was deemed a suspicious package from a parking lot at Devonshire Street and Canoga Avenue in Chatsworth Friday.

No explosives were found, authorities said. The intersection was shut down for investigation. Metrolink service was not affected.

A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad was on scene and deployed a robot to investigate the object.
