NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 32-year-old North Hollywood man was arrested on suspicion of committing a series of sexual assaults against elderly women ranging in ages from 66 to 87, Los Angeles police said.

Police say they linked Danilo Arturo Gonzalez to five assaults of women from March 27, 2015 to May 13, 2016 in the Northridge area, including three occurring inside a senior care facility.

Three of the alleged assaults happened at a senior care facility near Lindley Avenue and Parthenia Street in Northridge.

On July 30, 2015, Gonzalez allegedly entered the room of an 81-year-old woman through an unsecured sliding glass door at that facility and sexually assaulted her.

Police say Gonzalez again entered that facility last Friday, entered the room of an 81-year-old woman through an unsecured sliding glass door and sexually assaulted her, then went to the room of an 87-year-old woman and assaulted her before leaving. It was not immediately clear if the 81-year-old victims in the two attacks were the same person.

Another alleged assault occurred on Sept. 30, 2015 when the suspect allegedly entered a 71-year-old woman's home near the 18600 block of Vintage Street in Northridge through an unsecured sliding glass door, sexually assaulted the woman and then fled the home.

On March 27, 2015, police said, Gonzalez walked up to a 66-year-old woman walking home near Cozycroft Avenue and Mayall Street "rendered her unconscious and then sexually assaulted her."

Gonzalez was arrested at his home and booked for assault with the intent to commit a sex offense during the course of a burglary. He is being held in lieu of $2.15 million bail.
