Nurse arrested on child molestation charges

FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Fontana police have arrested a 26-year-old nurse on child molestation charges.

The family of one victim told police that Sandie Sumalpong molested the victim on multiple occasions over the past three years.

When investigators contacted Sumalpong at his Azusa home on Tuesday, he admitted to molesting that victim as well as other victims.

Police did not say which hospital Sumalpong works as a nurse, but none of the molestations happened at the hospital.

Sumalpong was arrested on multiple counts of child molestation charges and booked into custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
