OC deputies investigating possible shooting at motel
Orange County sheriff's deputies were investigating a possible shooting and fight at a motel in Stanton early Thursday morning.

STANTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Orange County sheriff's deputies were investigating a possible shooting and fight at a motel in Stanton early Thursday morning.

Authorities said they received a call shortly after midnight at the Riviera Motel in the 11800 block of Beach Boulevard on reports of a fight inside a room and shots fired.

Witnesses told authorities they heard at least two gunshots after the fight, but it was unclear if there was a shooting or how many people may be in the room.

Deputies surrounded the motel room and said no one appeared to be responding to their attempts to enter.

The investigation was ongoing.
