Rock-throwing suspect caught by the seat of his pants
Officers in San Diego had to yank an assault suspect free of a fence, ripping his jeans open to the ankle after he got stuck.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect accusing of injuring a man with a rock was caught by the seat of his pants, literally, in San Diego.

The suspect was wanted for throwing a rock at a random couple he didn't know, hitting a man in the head and causing a bloody wound.

Police didn't have a hard time taking the suspect into custody. Officers with a K9 caught up to him and cornered him on the other side of a metal fence in a residential neighborhood.

Guns drawn and K9 barking, they ordered the suspect to jump over the fence so they could arrest him.

Video shows the man trying to get over the fence, but getting his pants caught on the metal spikes on top.

"I'm stuck. Help me, man," he says, as he leans forward, suspended only by the fence and his pants.

An officer tries to lift him back up to get unstuck, but it doesn't work as the suspect falls forward.

So instead, the officer just yanks him down off the fence, ripping open his jeans to the ankle as the suspect exclaims "Ow, ow. Are you serious? Really?"

He was then taken into custody without further incident.

The male victim was spotted at the scene being treated by paramedics with his head wrapped in bandages and blood covering his nose and cheek.
