Pacoima woman shot; suspects sought

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for a gunman accused of shooting a woman in Pacoima Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Division said the shooting happened near the intersection of Telfair Avenue and Mercer Street shortly before 9 p.m.

Paramedics found the victim, in her mid-20s, lying on the street unconscious and not breathing.

The extent of her injuries are unknown but police said she is alive and being treated at the hospital.

Witnesses told officials two men were seen running from the area after shots were fired.

No suspect description was made available.
