Pedestrian fatally struck by Green Line train in Hawthorne

HAWTHORNE, Calif. (KABC) -- A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metro Green Line train near the Crenshaw Station in Hawthorne Sunday night.

The incident occurred near the station in the 11900 block of South Crenshaw Boulevard at 9:54 p.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The incident remains under investigation.
