SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- The search is on for a hit-and-run driver who left the scene of a crash that left a pedestrian in critical condition in San Bernardino.

The crash occurred on the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in San Bernardino around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim is described as a woman in her 40s.

There is no crosswalk or intersection at that location, so it is not clear exactly how the incident happened.

Eyewitnesses at the scene described the suspect's car as a Toyota with damage to the front-passenger window.
