Police seek driver in Highland Park hit-and-run
Police are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run in Highland Park that left a woman with severe injuries Friday night.

HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run in Highland Park that left a woman with severe injuries Friday night.

Officials said the 51-year-old woman was walking in a marked crosswalk around 9:45 p.m. in the 5500 block of Figueroa Street when she was struck by a car. They said the woman was on the hood of the car for about 50 feet, before the vehicle stopped and she rolled off.

Police said the suspect was driving a white 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer with license plate number 4ZCG222. The car was seen fleeing northbound on Figueroa Street.

The woman was last listed in critical but stable condition. Her name was not immediately released.

The incident remained under investigation.
