POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect wanted for a traffic violation was taken into custody in the lobby of the Pomona Police Department Tuesday after leading California Highway Patrol officials on a high-speed chase.

The chase began in the Rancho Cucamonga area when the suspect refused to pull over. He then led authorities onto the westbound 210 Freeway and into Los Angeles County.

He eventually jumped out of his vehicle near the 400 block of W. Mission Boulevard and ran into the Pomona Police Department, where he was apprehended shortly before 11 a.m.

The suspect's name was not immediately released.
