Rancho Cucamonga sexual assault suspect sought for attacking 2 women
A search is underway for a sexual assault suspect in Rancho Cucamonga who police say attacked two women.

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is underway for a sexual assault suspect in Rancho Cucamonga who police say attacked two women.

The first attack happened May 2 at around 10:45 p.m. on Church Street near Milliken Avenue. A 20-year-old female was walking alone along a dark path to her apartment when the suspect confronted her and punched her.

According to police, the suspect grabbed the woman and pulled her toward a dark area. After a struggle, the woman was able to get away and run to safety. The suspect fled the location on foot.

Just two days later on May 4, another 20-year-old woman was walking alone on Milliken Avenue toward Foothill Boulevard when she noticed the suspect walking quickly behind her.

When the woman reached Azusa Court, the suspect grabbed her from behind, pulled her out of view to the side of the road and sexually assaulted her. Police said the suspect fled on foot toward the Metrolink station on Azusa Court.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late-30s to 40s, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with a short, scruffy black beard.

He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark clothing.
