Second shark sighting in two days at Dana Point
Orange County life guards spotted another shark at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point on Wednesday.

DANA POINT, Calif. (KABC) -- Orange County lifeguards spotted another shark at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The lifeguards reported seeing a shark's fin about 100 yards from the coast.

Just the day before, a 10-foot shark was spotted around 300 yards from the coast of Salt Creek Beach.

Authorities are unsure if the two sharks are the same.

Beaches remain open; however, signs were posted, and people were warned to enter the water at their own risk.

Extra patrol, helicopter and watercraft were dispatched to try and spot the shark but were unsuccessful.

An advisory has been issued and will remain up for at least 18 to 24 hours.
