Silver Lake hit-run victims shot at while chasing runaway driver

SILVER LAKE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The victims of a hit-and-run crash in Silver Lake were shot at Saturday while attempting to follow at least one suspect fleeing on foot.

The crash was reported at about 10 p.m. at Riverside Drive and Fletcher Avenue. At least one man allegedly began running away when the people in the other car attempted to approach, Los Angeles police said.

When the group attempted to follow the man, he shot at their car. No injuries were reported.

At least one suspect remained at large.
