LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspect has been arrested in the hit-and-run that killed a federal judge's son in Pacific Palisades last December.

Michael Vuong, 66, of the Palms area of Los Angeles, was arrested and booked on Thursday afternoon on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.

David Pregerson, 23, was walking home when he was hit by a car on the 600 block of Chautauqua Boulevard on Dec. 27. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.

Pregerson, son of U.S. District Judge Dean Pregerson, was a recent graduate of UCLA and a budding filmmaker.

Last month, the L.A. City Council had offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Vuong is being held on $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
