EASTVALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect who ripped a drive-thru ATM off its foundation in Eastvale is being sought, authorities said.

Eastvale police responded after an alarm went off at the Chase Bank on Archibald Avenue and Schleisman Road on Saturday morning.

When they arrived, they found the ATM approximately 100 feet from the bank, still attached to a U-Haul van.

Investigators say the ATM had not been opened. It is unclear why the suspect abandoned the ATM so quickly.
