Suspect wounded in Pomona officer-involved shooting

POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A male suspect was wounded in an officer-involved shooting in Pomona early Sunday, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said.

The shooting occurred in the 800 block of Buena Vista Avenue at about 1:30 a.m.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital but details on his condition were not immediately released.

The sheriff's department was assisting the Pomona Police Department in their investigation. No Pomona police officers were injured during the incident.
