LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives busted a major burglary ring, but are still looking for more suspects and hope the public can help.

According to detectives, the ring was very sophisticated. During a press conference, authorities showed off 10 photos of the suspects in custody who may be responsible for dozens, if not hundreds, of residential burglaries throughout the Southland.

Detectives said the suspects targeted locations by driving around in expensive luxury vehicles and rental cars.

"They'll target affluent areas and they'll try to find the individuals that are not home. They'll either put a call in or knock on the door, when they do not answer usually they'll try to enter through the rear door," LASD Lt. Chuck Caldero said. "Sometimes they'll just get blatant and go right through the front door and just smash the front door, go in and commit their burglaries."

The suspects are said to have stolen cash, jewelry and weapons then sold the items all over the county at scrap purchasing businesses and local pawn shops.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call the LASD.
