Van Nuys boy with autism searching for missing dog

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Van Nuys boy with autism desperately seeks his missing dog.

The nearly 3-year-old Jack Russell terrier Lassie has a calming effect on 12-year-old Jacob Rodriguez. Rodriguez's father says the family discovered the dog was missing after a short trip a little more than a week ago.

"It was like an angel for me," Rodriguez said.
