ORANGE, Calif. (KABC) -- A plumbing van that was stolen from a couple in Orange was found in Compton Monday night.

Police say most of the plumbing equipment inside the van was gone, but the vehicle has since been returned to its rightful owner.

The vehicle was stolen from outside Vera and Dave Turner's home around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. A carjacker is seen on surveillance video flipping on the van's lights and driving away behind the car the thief drove up in.

Vera Turner said two anonymous callers contacted her husband after seeing the story on Eyewitness News. The callers said they spotted the van in Compton. The Turners then contacted police.

The couple said they used the van for their new plumbing business and they spent their life savings on loading it with equipment.

There was no word on any arrests.
