INDIA -- A monkey was caught on camera in India going bananas inside of a jewelry store.

The monkey tossed a piece of fruit into the store, distracting a worker.

When the man bent down to pick it up, the monkey ran inside.

The monkey then hopped up onto a chair that is near the register.

The camera captured the monkey opening cash drawer and grabbing a stack of money.

An employee ran over and tried to give the monkey a banana, but the monkey didn't take it.

Instead, the monkey ran out with 150 rupees, or about $2.
